DBAV marked 25 years of the association in 2025, which this site carries as founded in 2000.
The DBAV is a business network that offers network and support to ease doing business in Vietnam.

How the chamber is run
Every year, the Annual General Meeting of DBAV appoints a new Board of Directors, which sets the strategic course of the association. The board consists of leading entrepreneurs and executives in the Dutch-Vietnamese business community, with members based in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Haiphong) and the Netherlands.
Particularly in Vietnam, DBAV says, it is important to be part of a business association, because the role of government there is still very dominant. The Dutch public and private sector work together in Vietnam, and DBAV represents members’ interests to Vietnamese government authorities and regulatory bodies, taking part in policy dialogues through EuroCham’s advocacy groups.
A dual membership with EuroCham, and a chapter in the Netherlands
DBAV membership is a dual membership, combined with EuroCham, the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam. Together with EuroCham, DBAV offers members ways to advocate for their line of business, for example in EuroCham’s Sector Committees. DBAV does not organise sector committees of its own, so there is no committees page on this site.
DBAV also has a chapter in the Netherlands, formerly known as NVCC (the Netherlands Vietnam Chamber of Commerce). By merging the two organisations, DBAV offers a two-way Dutch-Vietnamese business platform. The NL Chapter supports Dutch companies expanding into Vietnam from the Netherlands and represents about 12 percent of DBAV’s total membership base, through quarterly signature events and cooperation with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands.

DBAV connects a high-level professional community of about 160 company members: regular networking events including business breakfasts, luncheons and after-work drinks, access to a C-level network from diverse industries, connection to key Dutch and Vietnamese government officials, and joint events with EuroCham, other European business associations and local chambers of commerce.
